after the famous painter of the Safavid era
Reza Abbasi. Its collection covers Iranian
art and history from 6,000 B.C. to the 20th
century. Artifacts from prehistoric, historic
and Islamic periods are exhibited.

Reza Abbasi Museum has been opened to the
public since 1979, and there are plans to
transform it into a specialized museum of
calligraphy.
